Oh and apparently Fox has green lit the Fantastic Four sequel. So... I guess they're happy with it?
They also dated Gambit for Oct. 7, 2016.
Watching Paul Rudd walk from the helicopter (?) almost seemed like it was a spoof film.
Not really sure what to make of the trailer. Doesn't really look too impressive so far. :\
The first 60 seconds of the trailer are laaaame, the last line actually made me cringe a bit because all I could think of was "does it come in black?". Who is he fighting? Got no feel for that either.
When in doubt about the potential of your movie, emphasize the family aspect, because everyone understands family.
This is probably nitpicky, but its super awkward that they say "Scott" twice. Cutting either one would have been fine, preferably the first.
Yeh I don't know what the threat is here. I also don't know that showing him ride an Ant was a very good idea. It looked almost like something I'd see in an Iron Sky flick. Tone looked ok though, some humor sprinkled in. Just not sure what the action is going to look like yet. I didn't even get a sense that there was anything in there equivalent to the screen test demo.
It's supposed to be a heist movie and it didn't give any hints of that. But it's just a teaser, so I'm sure the full trailer will delve into it more. This seems almost like it's geared for people who are already familiar with the characters, letting them know that Scott in the movie is still an ex-con with a daughter like in the comics.
Yeah, that looks really bad.
You know what? I'm in. Fuck it. It's Marvel I'm going to see this opening night.
However, obligatory "stupid superhero pose is stupid" comment.

And if you guys want some real lulz, read the DC vs Marvel comments under the trailer. So good.
DC should release a Blue Beetle movie on the same day.
Laaaaaame.
Even Rudd's comic timing seems off with his questioning of the ant-man name. Not funny.
Original teaser was much better. This looks kind of meh.
Both of these trailers make their movies look like real bummers.
It's not as thrilling as the first trailer (not enough action, not enough Spader) but I like the vibe they're going for.
It feels a little Empire Strikes Back-ish, in that the heroes look like they might be fucked and there are real stakes on the table.
