There are so many choices nowadays when greeting another male that inevitably mix-ups occur. You know, you go in for a simple handshake, but the other guy daps you. So what do you do?

If I've never met you it's always a handshake. For the longest time even with friends it'd be a handshake. Now since I moved to Eugene, all the guys I'm close with do the man-hug. Many awkward moments of me sticking out my hand while they're pulling me in for a hug. I'm used to it now, and I've all but given up the handshake.

I don't do man-hug option. I let the other person go for it. If he goes for it, I don't want him to look stupid, so I'll do it, even if I am uncomfortable about it.
