Now I admit, that I wanted to do this after seeing Spinal do it, but hey it'd be cool if more people did it. Now do note, many of the songs on this list may not be there the next time I compile the same list. When it comes to all of the media, music is the one where I go in all different directions. My music collection is currently up to 14,000 songs, and so to make a top 100 was tough. I mostly did songs in which my play count on them is high, but also there are songs in which have influenced the way I listen to music (such as my first favorite rock song). Also you will find a lot of your favorites will not be on the list, again I don't say this is the top 100 greatest songs, just my personal favorite 100 songs, and again, my personal favorite 100 songs currently. As the list could be different very soon as I am constantly searching and finding new music. So some of the songs on this list are rather new. I will try and find a way for the song to be linked in some fashion, but I can't guarantee it with all of them. Now as for the comparison of mine and Spinal's lists there is just one song which is on both of our lists, so it's going to be completely different.

I've already uploaded all the photos and I'm done with most of the reviews but I have not found most of the links, so this may take about 2 weeks, maybe 3, but I will pound it out. I hope you enjoy it and see where my music tastes comes from. (And yes a couple of the songs are from iosos.)

I'm also going to steal the format from Spinal. I'm a thief, I know it.

Song: "Soul To Squeeze"
Artist: Red Hot Chili Peppers
Album: Coneheads Soundtrack
Year: 1993

Weird Circus Video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=mqJeWhtpVek)

I first heard this song in about 11th grade, I was at the time recording MTV at night and watching the music videos during the day, I got to this one and was really impressed. I'd never been all that impressed with the Peppers, but this one was a slower moving beautiful song.

Song: "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That"
Artist: Robert Randolph and The Family Band
Album: Colorblind
Year: 2006

Call The Port Authority! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_NnAW0ZyC58)

This song properly displays something that I love in music, that of aggressive beats and something that makes you want to get up and dance. Complexities also work for me. The Shake it part around 1:40 is my favorite part. Robert Randolph I've been a fan of for a while but when I heard this song I couldn't help but get up and dance. And who doesn't love a good steel guitarist!

Artist: Cut Chemist ft. Hymnal
Album: The Audience's Listening
Year: 2006

Cow in a Market! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=gS5TklbuKvM)

I dream of making music like Cut Chemist does, I first heard this song when I saw him live. Again like the last one pulsing beats with complexities in everything else makes me happy. Also nothing can melt me quite like record scratching. Check out the record scratching near the end of the song, also you can't go wrong with cowbell.

Album: Tales From The Punchbowl
Year: 1995

He's The One, The Only One. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=TicvljnTE3k)

A band like Primus is one of my guilty pleasures, luckily for all of you this is the only time they appear on my countdown. Les Claypool does wonders on the bass, and this song I think is the best kind of song for Primus, something where they can do a ballad type song instead of a shorter song. But I am a sucker for longer songs.

Year: 2005

Katamari! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=aYBeMRhCREE)

Who doesn't love Katamari Damacy? I absolutely love the games and one of the best parts is the amazing music that goes along with the game. Repeating as you're taking on the world. This one by itself is great and quite danceable. For those that love this music this isn't the last time you'll find the game on my list.

Album: Silent Alarm
Year: 2005

Play it cool boy. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=inxg2iVbU54)

This is one of my favorite albums to play video games to. In particular I found playing the Zues character on Shadow of The Colossus to the first three songs is the perfect soundtrack, ending with this song at his head. This song is so raw and pumping, it gets me excited. Also it's a song which has one of my favorite uses of the word Fuck, using it at the climax of a crescendo.

Album: Street Signs
Year: 2004

Political Video done by a fan. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=az6H3llBkhM)

This is a super charged political song done by Ozomatli and Chali 2na. I can not get enough of the Indian feel mixed with Chali's amazing low voice. The Politics of the song are interesting too, as this band is a big activist band. It helps when you're music is good taboot.

Album: Era Vulgaris
Year: 2007

Another one of my guilty pleasures in the harder rock scene is that of The Queens Of The Stoneage. This one goes along with my love of pounding music, I can't help but move my body to it. I especially like the the release when it goes into the higher range near the end of the song. The whole album is excellent and one of my favorites of 2007.

Album: Riot on an Empty Street
Year: 2004

Weird video done by the band. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=2iDNMUtw_CQ)

The image that always happens in my mind when I listen to this song is that of a really cute hippy chick, with head phones on dancing barefoot in the middle of a living room. Hair swaying as she moves her head, eyes closed and smiling. If I ever made a music video of this song that's what I'd have as the main part of it.

Katamari = WIN, always. That Roisin Murphy song is excellent, too.

I keep thinking that I'll do one these lists after the current one finishes, but I'm a lazy bum. Maybe I'll just do a top 50 Stephin Merritt-penned tunes, to narrow the scope ever so slightly.

You need to click on number 19 (http://www.archive.org/details/mfruvous1998-11-07.flac16)

I love the lyrics to this song, mixing fictional characters with relationship advice. Put that together and add Moxy Fruvous' folksy feel and I can't get enough. As far as folksy artists, these guys from Canada are probably my favorite overall. I could only find a live version on archive as this was not one of their famous ones. It's not as good as the album version but that's okay. You need to click on number 19 to hear it.

One of the best parts of this song is mixing it with the amazing music video. It's one of my favorite music videos and because of it I really got into the song that much more. I love the use of violins in this fashion. Also I love songs which have an eerie feel to them, eeriness comes a lot on my list.

"At Puberty I was sworn to secrecy by the international brotherhood of lying fickle males." This is the first and best colaboration between William Shatner and Ben Folds, an amazing song about relationships and men and women. My first year of college, this became our dorm floor's theme song. I find the song to be quite beautiful and I just can not get enough of the moving lyrics.

This was one of the first songs which helped me realize the brilliance that is Ween. From one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen Kikujiro comes this song. Just listening to this song emotes feelings of great happiness. This song is big for me as there are very few classical type pieces that I can connect with, but (composer) is able to get me into it. Have you watched the video of how these guys play this song? This song blows me away because the entire song is done on just two acoustic guitars. If I didn't know that I would have thought it were that plus two percussionists as well. I am absolutely floored at their talent, and this song is easily my favorite of theirs. My favorite part being midway through the song when it picks up tempo and they just start rocking out. Watch the video with this one, it's worth it.

If it weren't for the guys of the Quannum crew, I highly doubt I'd be as into the underground rap scene as I am now. I adore the things Lyrics Born does, both his lyrical prowess and his ability to make some really awesome hooks. The lyrics of this song are especially impressive to me, though mostly random things linked together, the speed in which they are executed along with the enjoyment of the music behind it and having Cut Chemist doesn't hurt anything either.

I admit I did not know about this song until I played it on Guitar Hero. But when I went through the entire song on that game I felt like the biggest bad ass on the planet. After just once I was in love with the song and still listen to it when I want to get pumped up. It fulfills my need for ballad type songs, fast and rocking. The mix of a jazz horn section with record scratching and the beautiful tone of Chali 2na, this is a true dance hit. Chali 2na did all of the rapping for their first album and it does the trick.

I love it when a bass guitar is used for more then just rhythm. Now I have to admit, I like the intro to this song more then I like the actual song, the song however is still my favorite song off of a really finely crafted album, but the intro "Foreplay" blows me completely away. As for Long Time, I have had love affairs with good guitar solos, and this one has some amazing guitar to it. This song is complex in all rights and has been one of my favorites for many years.

The lyrics of this song, done in a very story like fashion mixed with the incredibly eerie feeling is why this one made it onto the list. Song: "The Boxer"
Artist: Chemical Brothers
Album: Push the Button
Year: 2005

I can't seem to shake this feeling. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=yu99_ulxyFI)

The Chemical Brothers are one of the few techno acts I can really get behind, but when they add lyrics to their already infectious beats I am in love. I love the fast moving nature of the song. This is one of my favorite songs to drive to. Also the music video is perfect for this song.

Song: "Deep In The Jungle"
Artist: Blackalicious
Album: Solesides Greatest Bumps
Year: 2000

Groped through idiosyncrasies. (http://www.imeem.com/quannumprojects/music/dO9wx2aC/blackalicious_deep_in_the_jung le/)

I really like rap songs which feature a whole lot of guys, and this one features almost everyone from the Quannum crew, all of which are my favorite rappers around. Long rap songs with lots of rappers and lots of stuff going on is my favorite kind of rap. Plus this song has some of the best fast rap around. I try my best to keep up with it and sing along and I can get about 80% of it now.

Song: "Feel Good Inc."
Artist: Gorillaz
Album: Demon Days
Year: 2005

Feel Good (http://youtube.com/watch?v=01C4RPEinM4)

I was blown away by this song when I first heard it. It's one of the best popular songs to use to tell people the kind of music I tend to like. Genre shifting, but keeping a danceable feel and lots of complexities. This is another song in which the video is perfect for the feel of the song. I love the windmill stuff. Also this video is probably the closest approximation to how my dreams are at night.

Song: "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3"
Artist: Coheed and Cambria
Album: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Year: 2003

Man your Battle stations. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wp_Now6WDRc)

Have you ever played the game Dynasty Warriors? I'm only played 4 and 5, however if you want a good soundtrack to this game, this song is the best possible song for the game. I played this game religiously with my friend Mark, and this album was in the cd player as the soundtrack. But this song was the best compared to everything else.

Song: "Fly"
Artist: Moxy Fruvous
Album: Wood
Year: 1995

Untied the rope so... (http://youtube.com/watch?v=bu0HdSw6l1Q)

Coming in third place for having the most songs on my list (with 4 songs), comes the folksy Canadian Group Moxy Fruvous. This is one of those songs which I love singing along with to test my own personal ability. Beautiful lyrics and just a beautiful song all around.

For those wondering where I went, on went on hiatus but this list will be finished in August. But won't probably be updated until around the ninth of august.

The wife likes Moxy Fruvous and I'm still trying to figure out why. Blackalicious and The Gorillaz get props, though.

There are some interesting choices so far - definitely eclectic!

Can't say that I personally like many of them, but the list is definitely unique. There are some things I've never heard of as well.

Wow. There are some great songs on this list. Ain't Nuthin Wrong With That and Diablo Rojo, though, are flat out awesome. Both would be so much fun to see live.

Yeah, so bad news. My laptop completely crashed just two days before my vacation. I got it fixed but I lost everything. I had all my music and videos backed up but none of my documents or playlists. So as far as this list goes, I don't have the list anymore. So as for now this is defunct. :(
