I thought this was funny...

The story picks up seven years after the first film (and Donnie's death) when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.

No way. This can't be happening. I don't want it to.

This will either have a long stint on the IMDB Top 250 or Bottom 100.

And either way it'll suck.

Films with a dead title character are usually always amazing...right?

Apparently, it's shooting right near me. A lot of people I'm talking to are working on it, trying to work on it, or know someone who's working on it. And it's called Samantha D.

I will be surprised if this actually appears in cinemas. Sounds like a straight-to-video project.

This movie is called. S. Darko. Why wouldn't they just call it Samantha Darko?

To make Donnie Darko fans read into it.

Yes. Start calling it the greatest movie ever made or say it's a worthless laughably pretentious piece of trash. Pick a side, loser.

Donnie Darko is better than Mulholland Drive. You heard me.

Nope. I enjoy the film, but I don't get carried away.

This movie wouldn't be as bad if they didn't go overboard with the phenomenon and multiple side stories. Its much worse than D. Darko, but it could have been only a little bit worse.

There's actually some pretty cool viral marketing videos on youtube for this movie.

You know, I haven't watched Donnie Darko in quite a long time but this thread compelled me to check out the opening of the film, as I always found it to be highly memorable. And yeah, it really does have this certain transfixing quality about it...

Donnie Darko comes closer to capturing the feeling of a Philip K. Dick book than any other movie, so it has that going for it.

No one else feels that DD obnoxiously overused the full music sequences throughout the movie?

The two best things in DD are Mad World and Seth Rogan.

No, those are the best parts of the movie.

The multiple-speed tracking shot through the school's hallway to Tears For Fears' "Head Over Heels" is sublime.

Seth Rogen stood out for you here? Really?

He doesn't do anything Rogen-ish. Or much of anything at all, for that matter.

"It’s kind of not that big of a role, it was my first movie. It was a great experience; I didn’t get it back then, and still don’t, but had a good time."

- Rogen on DD.

Whoa, I didn't know Rogen was in Donnie Darko, and it's one of my favorite films of the decade and he's one of my favorite actors of the decade. Weird!

I always thought the first movie was really really really overrated. So I don't have any desire at all to keep going with that magic.
