You have to try it! It's amazing. Even better than it smells. My 6 year old even kind of liked it, and he doesn't like much besides typical kid stuff like PB & J and Mac & Cheese.

My wife thinks it smells awful. She's loony.

They're great. Not Honey Bunches of Oats w/Cinnamon Clusters great mind you, but one of the most important entries into the 21st Century canon of cereals. The jury's still out on the third possible entry - Life with Chocolate Clusters. Personally I find adding chocolate a simple short cut, pandering to the kid/teenage demographic, but I am a fan of cereal that gives me a free glass of chocolate milk when I'm finished. Part of my hesitation is that Life is one of the few perfect cereals and there's really no reason to fuck with it.

As for Mountain Dew, my whole case against it is found in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53Li4nJAgDg) of Uwe Boll having the Dew w/his wine.

I had Von's brand blueberry waffles for breakfast and quickly realized that the extra dollar for Eggo's is well spent. I could've toasted wet cardboard and gotten a similar result.

Tonight I'm cooking up some Trader Joe's orange chicken and vegetable fried rice. I wish I had an extra freezer to fill up with just those two things.

Pizza in any way, shape, or form is music to my ears. Would I have nuked the pizza? Hell no. Not a chance. However, I can't begrudge anyone for eating pizza. It's far too glorious a meal.

I just ate some courgettes, celery, yellow peppers, tofu, garlic, chilis, ginger in mushroom flavoured soya sauce that I cooked yesterday but re-heated today, I made the sauce thinker and darker. I should have taken a picture, because saying like this it doesn't express the delicious taste and colours it gave. I was even quite proud of myself, so delicious! Pity I am eating alone and nobody else could eat it and feel the goodness of this.

I hadn't had an egg-in-a-hole in probably 10 years (maybe more).

My mom used to make them when I would come home for lunch in the early-to-mid years of elementary school.

So today I decided to try my hand at making them myself.

Of course, it's not like it's a difficult process - they're a fairly simple food to prepare. But I'm still learning my way around the kitchen and am experimenting with very simple things.

I'm glad they came out quite well. I definitley learned a few things for the next time I decide to make them.

But they were edible, and tasted pretty good. The eggs were a little overcooked though - I like them a little runny, but these were solid.

It was my turn to bring some cakes for work.
So I made 2 cakes that I often cook (because I know how to make them very well).
This time I took a picture.
First : it's based on "4 Quart" recipe but with sultanas and apples on the bottom + cinnamon
Second : it's based on "Mamette" recipe (apples, olive oil, milk) but added with spices (nutmeg and cinnamon).

I made a dish based on the 'Tajine' (North African dish) recipe which I have changed some ingredients (instead of nutmeg and ginger which I always use in my cooking, I wanted to change and felt like curry and coriander).
Chicken legs in curry and red chili powder cooked first aside in a pressure cooker with very minimal of water (the juice is to put aside for afterwards). Put then the chicken legs in the tajine dish in the oven, once cooked, add the sauce on top (made with butter, honey, coriander, curry powder mixed then with the juice of the chicken) and let it cooked in the oven just for a few more minutes, and add onions (previously boiled in water with a bit of sugar) and sultanas (boiled in water).
Delicious, recommended!
I personally think that some dried apricots instead of the sultanas would be also wonderful.

I kinda did a spin on Arroz Con Pollo (Mexican Chicken & Rice) for dinner tonight. The recipe called for normal medium grain rice, but I was out of that, so I used what I could find in the pantry, namely some Japanese short grain rice, the same sticky kind that's used in sushi. Also, the recipe called for ancho chili powder, but I was outa that so I used some mole poblano powder, which lent it nice cinnamon & chocolate accents, and the rice was just the right texture.

It turned out quite well. I think I'm going to make it this way from here on out!

I like changing recipes and experimenting with other ingredients, anyway, most of the time I haven't got all the ingredients required, so I kind of improvise and see what can replace instead. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I took the half rotisserie chicken I had left over from the previous night, pulled off all the meat, chopped the meat into bit-sized chunks, threw it in a medium-large pot with two 19 oz. cans of Progresso classic chicken noodle soup, threw in a cup or so of rice, then poured in enough low salt chicken broth to cover. A few shakes of cracked pepper and a few pinches of coarse salt sealed the deal.
