A musical!

Good movie. The stakes are lower, but that's by design (I mean, how bigger than the diamonds and the Crystal Gems' war can you really get?). Instead, Sugar and company choose to make our new villain Spinel a more comedic, but also off-kilter villain, being more of a sad clown figure, a broken toy struck by eternal loneliness and insanity, helping this movie stay away from comparisons to the show and introduce people to Steven Universe: Future.

It also has, as usual with SU, really good music and there's a duet with Steven and Gregg in the middle that's very, very good.
