This gave me a similar experience to Shrek thanks to it's heavy emphasis in pop-culture, lampooning of classic fairy tales and tropes and it's occasional musical number and it does all of them well, but in a less crude and abrasive fashion.

This take of the Snow White story is consistently amusing and I thought it picks up a bit more steam in the second half when it emphasized the romance aspect over the comedy. And speaking of the romantic aspect, it's pretty standard fare, but it's still sweet and sincere enough to work.

The 3D animation is nice enough. The background characters and the mooks look indistinguishable from any Dreamworks human character, however, the main ones are distinctive enough. The wood creatures are really cute.
