A simple -- almost to the point of simplistic -- 80's greed story/disintegrating family drama is livened up by Sean Durkin's chilly, ominous direction, and Jude Law hasn't been given a film role this good in years, maybe since 2013's Dom Hemingway. But I somehow enjoy this most as Carrie Coon's iconic moment generator; it works so well on that level and Coon is so good that I almost never want her to stop passive-aggressively needling Law. 7.5/10
