It's not necessarily good screenwriting per se, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how Hanks keeps this a lean, mean nuts-and-bolts warfare logistics stuff, in and out at under 90 minutes rather than go bigger with it. Still clunky in spots, with some thankfully brief but still tired woman-at-home framework, and the effects sometimes aren't up to the film's scale. But in the cinematic realm of watching competent people do their job in details (with added life-and-death stake), this is pretty solid. 6.5/10
