It was weird that halfway through this I wondered if it had been written for different movie stars a long time ago and resurrected by Netflix's fan service for the movie buff, and it turned out that it was, exactly that way. It was originally pitched as a vehicle for the Newman and Redford team.

Anyway, it's a sweet old fashioned crepuscular Western. I'm into this kind of thing and Woody Harrelson basically begins as a character and then eventually progresses into playing himself. I liked how they never showed Bonnie and Clyde until the finale and the casting for them was just perfect, they looked angelical and completely unlike anyone else in the movie.

This was fine. Plays as a neat companion to Bonnie & Clyde minus some of the dull aspects of 60s filmmaking that drag that movie down a peg (imo). I know, not popular to be dismissive of B&C, but you could cut a good chunk of that flick and not lose much.

I thought it was decent with Costner and Woody carrying some ok at best material. I wish someone like Walter Hill had directed this instead.
