Since the format war is over (and also because I now have a Blu-Ray player), I am now posting Blu-Ray titles at the end.

You're welcome, Duke.

Don't ask me why GGW is being released on Blu-Ray, but there you go -- HD teets.

Holy crap. I had Space Ace for the Sega CD. It sucked, but so did every game for that system.

I remember the standalone arcade game, which also sucked, but was way ahead of its time. I don't remember a movie.

May buy TWBB someday, and will rent Sharkwater on Blu-Ray.

Hey, you made me look at it. Now I'm returning the favor. It's a new low for zombie movie remakes I say.

Matlock and Perry Mason in the same week, wow, riot at the old folks home.

I derive great enjoyment from the P2 cover.

That's no movie my good man. That's a game for your Blu-Ray player. I wonder if it's as crappy as I remember.

Jesus christ! you're right! Oh my god! Oh my god! Are we going to get more of the Sega CD games that used prerendered graphics on blu-ray? Sewer Shark, Night Trap, anyone?

You got that right. Best. Kubrick. Ever.

It gets beat about by his fans and critics a bit but I really enjoyed it. It's certainly the best film depiction of that period that I've ever seen.

Though when it comes to mid 90's adventure games, nothing touches King's Quest VI. It's monumental in point n' click gaming

Man, talk about a week with movies that BOMBED. Main examples being Reservation Road which completely fell off the face of the earth once it was released and Lions for Lambs which had 3 tremendous stars, made zero money and seemed like it was hated by everyone. Yikes on those two, I haven't even seen commercials for the DVD's on television.

And, x 1,000 at the DVD cover for P2. Wow...I read that Wes Bentley's performance is a whole new level of terrible acting in this film; can anyone verify?

Even if I wasn't leaving the country Tuesday, I still wouldn't rent any of those. Maybe I'd give There Will Be Blood another look, but it's not a high priority for me.

Samuel L. Jackson is just being in movies now to see what hair styles people can come up with for him.

Should try There Will Be Blood again, see if I can develop a real opinion on it.

I'll be buying There Will Be Blood and Walk Hard.

One is one of the best movies of 2007 and the other is the most underrated comedy of the decade so far.

those of you with a Blu-ray player may want to wait on TWBB. I'm pretty sure I heard news of a BDR coming.

For those of you interested in LD based games, check out this website:

It's awesome.

There is also an emulator called DAPHNE that runs the LD-ISOs.

Bundesrepublik Deutschland?

I'm sorry, I must be thick. . .

Anyway, the stories google turned up for this are very old so who knows when it's coming.

Ya, actually I suck. A BDR would be a one time writable Blu-ray. I should've said BD-ROM.

I ended up buying the There Will Be Blood DVD for reasons I neither know nor have the courage to really think about. I guess there is a definite disparity between the movies I see that are "good" and the ones I feel compelled to "rewatch."
