Mild yay from me, close to a nay. The animation looks really nice (and when it shows live footage that it isn't an interview, particularly with match cuts, it's a very effective) and the subject is very engaging with a poignant view of another stage of the eternal dick measuring contest between the Soviet Union and the US in a conflict with lots of grey areas, but the way the film tells it's story (the classic talking heads device most documentaries use) is not particularly engaging, plus, since we don't spend that much time with characters that aren't Ryszard Kapuściński in story, the film ends up feeling a bit short and hollow.

There's a great war film somewhere about the Angolan fight for independence, but sadly, this ain't it.
