Iron Chef - Love

http://www.schemamag.ca/archive2/images/iron%20chef%202.gif

I don't know anybody who doesn't like Iron Chef. It's quite possibly the greatest thing that food has ever produced. There's nothing like watching the dramatic tension of who's Steaks covered in Squid ink is going to win the prize. I would eat all the food on this show. I'm even watching it right now, thought unfortunately it's American Iron Chef, but that's okay sometimes.

The music track "Stealing the Enterprise" from the Star Trek III: The Search for Spock soundtrack by James Horner - Love

Star Trek III is one of the more mediocre Trek films, but has one absolutely awesome scene and this is that scene, mostly due to the music. The music rules, very very hard. It has such dramatic pulse to it that I listen to it at least 4 times a day and wish I could steal the enterprise. Screw you Horner for sucking so bad nowadays.

Waiting for Packages in the Mail - Love/Hate

http://www.morganolson.com/images/vocational/fedex.jpg

There's nothing better than walking outside to find a nice package you ordered sitting in your mail box or on your porch. You pick it up, open it, gaze at your purchase than probably go online later that night and order some more useless junk. What sucks, and what I hate, is the wait period where you go out to your mailbox every day and your damn package isn't there. But I guess, that's what makes it all the more sweeter when it does arrive. So to recap, I hate it when the package isn't there, but love it when it is.

Seriously, I hate you traffic. You should burn in hell forever. My drive to work can be going completely good, and then you show up at the last minute. Suck it traffic.

Making the movie showtimes at work - Love

http://cinematreasures.org/images/uploads/showtimes.jpg

The best part of my job is every Tuesday morning getting to spend about half my shift strategically placing all the movie showtimes for the upcoming week in a constructive and profitable order that will best serve the demographic of our clients as well as supporting a balanced flow of patrons for our concession stand. It's like making a puzzle ever week, armed with my trusty excel sheet I take into account the trailers, the runtime, as well as the clean time to make the times and then place them into the appropriate auditoriums. Hell yeah.

Star Trek III>Star Trek IV :P

And naturally everyone hates traffic. Heavy traffic is why I will try to never live in a major city.

It's actually pretty easy, can take some time though, especially with how runtimes line up.

Here's my form for figuring out everything.

Traffic - HATE

Be careful out on that limb. You might be stirring up a hornet's nest with a controversial post like saying you hate traffic.

Making the movie times sounds cool, though.

Thing I Hate:

When someone in the office tells me an email is about to come my way.

"Hey Zak, sending you an email!"

"Thanks for the heads up! I would have found out in three seconds anyway but with you telling me it's coming I feel a lot better about the situation."

Traffic the phenomenon sucks, true. But the band isn't so bad.

People who slow down on the road to look at accidents -HATE

http://www.pibburns.com/elsiemi/elsietw1.jpg

Stop wasting my time by stopping to look at the wreck on the other side of the road! Nothing pisses me off more than hitting traffic only to realize as you clear the traffic that people were stopping just to look. Damn you people.

Not exactly the same, but I hate when someone send me an e-mail saying something like "hey, how's it going" when they are in the same room as me.

Talk about social retardation.

Indeed this was fun. But Wed./Thurs. late night screenings were by far my favorite management task when I worked in a theater back in the day. Getting paid to watch a movie before everyone else was one of my great joys in life.
