Right sport, wrong poster. The climber should be Alex Honnold.

May as well throw The Dawn Wall in here, too.

Can't find an actual poster of this. It'll be blank.

Excellent documentary. I liked that it focused overtly on the difficulty of filming its subject, and I found the guy's personality kind of magnetic even beyond the crazy stunts he pulls.

Do you mean how his personality fucking sucks?

Can't help but feel bad for Alex (or people like him who can't read the room or express themselves in any form that isn't acting like a little selfish child). When he describes learning how to hug at the age of 23, or being unable to even say "love" with his family... gotta wonder what his terrible parents were doing allowing this kind of sheltered lifestyle. I do admire the competitive side of him, and he makes a solid point towards the end: "No one accomplishes anything being comfortable." Love that line.

All of that being said, this deserved all the awards. I was hooked. Palms sweaty even during the tethered practice stuff.
