...as a response to the forum spam bullshit.
Then make Dead & Messed Up, TGM, Henry Gale, and Philip J Fry mods.
Give all of them the ability to to merge/delete threads, cull posts, etc.
Every one of those guys posts a lot, visits every day, and is obviously invested in Match Cut. (Also, AFAIK they're mostly in different time zones, which helps.)

This forum would be so clean and spammer free.
My first act as admin- Forum cleanup initiative: To streamline discussion from the Upcoming Film Emporium into the Yearly Film Database threads.
My three step plan:
1. Close all threads in Upcoming Film Emporium when a movie is release
2. Provide link in the last post of the U.F.E. to the proper Yearly Film Database thread
3. Merge threads in U.F.E. when necessary (with the exception of most of the shared universe threads)
My credentials are:
I was a forum administrator for vB for notebookforums.com. At one point in 2007 we had over 1 million unique visitors a day. We closed down in 2013 when people stopped buying laptops.
In other words, I would be happy to help.

Heh, I just noticed this thread, which I think is the best argument for why this is necessary.
Yeah, I'm for this. Will do as soon as possible.

The next question is how many years back Duke will go combining threads to soothe his very specific OCD. :D jk duke

All of the years.
Thanks Arya. I promise I won't 'All The King’s Men' the forum.
I kinda don't want the Upcoming Film Threads close even after the films are out though.

Then it won't happen. We started doing that early and i just figured we never could keep up with the closures.

How will folks feel if I merge the Star Wars anthology threads together?
So two Star Wars threads, one for Saga one for Anthology.

I've always wondered why the 'new posts' button (and that whole line of buttons) disappear when you're inside a thread?

Maybe we could take all Star Wars talk to its own forum, or maybe it's own internet?
