Original bags are still in existence and can be purchased quite easily. The above is a high quality replica that looks exactly like the real thing. The leather strap (http://www.toddscostumes.com/indy/leather%20gear/indiana_jones_bag_strap.htm) is a modification to the original bag.

Darking Duck owns my soul. One day you will get yourself a costume.

But it will probably be a custom tailored one that cost a crap ton of money, but it would be worth it.

Um, I traced the outlines of the drawings with carbon paper. Then I went over every line that was traced with a pen, hand shaded in every thing that wasn't a line, which is a lot. Then I hand did all the lettering, without tracing.

I wish the fedora was cheaper so I could justify owning it.

The fedora I have is an absolute steal. Even though 350 is a lot of money, those types of hats usually go for 500-700 dollars. Not only are you getting the best Indy Fedora known to man, hand made by the maker of the hats for Indy 4 (Same exact materials, block shape, everything) but your getting it at a ridiculously low price comparatively. It's definitely the best of the gear I own.

I'm definitely grabbing one of those satchels though. Actually I probably won't. But if a need for a satchel ever arises, now I know where to go.

I think I'm going to start using the satchel more regularly.

The Indiana Jones Handbook
A Review by Barty

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51EkOfxicnL._SS500_.jpg

I picked up this book today and quickly read through it. It was only released a few days ago, and at less than 200 pages with illustrations and large font included, the book is breeze to get through. The book is basically a light "guide" on how to be Indiana Jones. Everything from how to dress as him, how to be an archeologist, and how to avoid dangerous traps and animals.

I was slightly disappointed by the guide, because while it covers many topics pertaining to Indy, it's rather light in detail. There is a similar guide like this released for Batman, and it's more interesting, perhaps because Batman is inherently less normal that Indy, and thus learning how to make a Bat Suit is a little more satisfying than say, learning how to punch or drive a truck.

That's not to say the book is bad, it's a fun read, with some good illustrations and brings back some nice memories of the soon to be more than a trilogy. There's some good bits of trivia, and the book is very tounge in cheek. It tells you for example, how to do "Indy" archeology, but warns you that there are many international laws that have made archeologists like Indiana Jones obsolete, so you better not push your luck.

What's most interesting about the book, at least to me, is what the book touches on that Indy has not done in the movies, or I should say, has not done yet. Spoilered for those who don't want to know some of the secrets of Crystal Skull, here's what we can look forward to in Indy's next adventure...

* Indy will have to escape from a nuclear explosion
* Indy's animal kingdom nemesis this time around will be giant ants (4 inches long) and giant mosquitos
* Indy will have a fun trip in the desert on a Military Rocket Sled
* Indy will have to escape from quicksand
* And of course, Aliens are probably involved...

So while I wouldn't call the book a must have, it's good for a quick read on a boring day off.
