Half Baked is my favorite, but I'm also currently digging Oatmeal Cookie Chunk.

SNAFU, but it's too rare. That's probably a good thing. I'm fat enough as it is.

I guess they discontinued it. Alas.

You need to buy some for your upcoming Mulholland Dr. viewing.

Karamel Sutra, but I only eat the vanilla and caramel part, so half the tub goes to waste.

I used to like Concession Obsession, but I think that got discontinued long ago.

Probably my #2.

i feel opposite, love the band, hate the ice cream.

Cherry Garcia owns me. there was a good stretch where it seemed like i ate some daily. i haven't had any yet this year, as i've been attempting to diet, but damn is this thread tempting me.

Chunky Monkey is my number two. oatmeal cookie chunk is really good, i bought it once and haven't been able to find it since.

For someone who's so pro-hippie, you sure are intolerant of their music.

They used to make this Vanilla Bean icecream that was pretty awesome. I haven't seen a vanilla ice cream that even comes close since in terms of intense vanilla awesomeness, and that flavor has long since been discontinued, the commies.

I went to a Ben and Jerry's yesterday, had the ONE Cheesecake Brownie, was pretty good. The girlfriend had the Cake Batter flavor, that one was good too.

You need to buy some for your upcoming Mulholland Dr. viewing. So, Netflix is shipping it to me today and I think I'm actually going to do as Spinal suggested here (I also added Goya's Ghosts to my queue, so apparently I'm taking Spinal's advice today). I'm going to swing by the grocery store and pick up some Ben & Jerry's and I'm completely intimidated by the choices available to me. Karmel Sutra sounds good. I like caramel.

But my all-around favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough. Is the B&J quality so substantial that I should just go with that? So many options...

I think I had Ben and Jerry's once, but it was a long time ago, and I can't remember the flavor.

It's too expensive for how much you get.

It's 3 bucks for a carton here. Much cheaper over a place like Cold Stone.

It's 3 bucks for a carton here. Much cheaper over a place like Cold Stone.I don't remember how much they are, but the last time I walked down the ice cream aisle, I noticed that for the price of a small Ben and Jerry's carton, I could get a much bigger carton of other brands. Sure, they don't have the weird names and eye-catching packaging, but meh.

Cold Stone is ridiculously overpriced.

I'm very curious as to how all this will turn out.

The answer is yes. It's miles above the other chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream I've had.

i'd recommend half baked. half choc chip cookie dough, half choc fudge brownie.

as far as a small carton of ben and jerrys costing the same as a large carton of other brands. well, you just have to ask yourself, do you want a slice of fried gold or a bucket of shit.

I'm poor and cheap, so I tend to think quantity over quality. Ice cream is ice cream, I can rarely discern much of a difference between brands. Maybe I'd feel differently about this Ben and Jerry's stuff, but I'm not a big enough fan of ice cream to really care.

Karamel Sutra was pretty much divine. I now kind of want to try every flavor, but I'm going to try to exercise more willpower than that. I can get like three times as much good ice cream for less. But, Lord, was that good.

So instead of Ben and Jerry's, I went to Cold Stone and got probably the most delicious ice cream ever. It was called Vicious Vanilla. It was vanilla ice cream with cookie dough, reese's peanut butter cups, angel food cake, caramel, and marshmallow cream. It was expensive, but it was an orgy of flavor in my mouth the entire time.
