Very mild yay, bordering on nay. This was such a nothing movie, and almost bizarre to watch in a theater, as it feels so much like a made for TV movie. Very one note throughout, and that includes every single performance, and it lacks in any actual dramatic stakes from start to finish. I... don't really know why I voted yay, actually, lol. I guess it wasn't terrible?
Mild yay as well. Not as incisive or non-Oscarly restrained as it should be, given the context and strategy of its trial. The true story is strong enough on its own though, and a war of will and mind between Timothy Spall (skin-crawlingly credible in his firm, banal insistence) and Tom Wilkinson is something to behold. 6/10
