This is absolutely terrific. Shot up to one of my favorite G-man movies. The idea of making a Godzilla movie as a through-and-through political satire is hilarious. This is morbid, but when the Fukushima disaster happened, I remember thinking, "I bet Toho's gonna make a Godzilla reboot in a couple of years." It's just such an obvious angle. This movie plays like a mix of The Thick of It, Max Brooks, and the 9/11 Commission Report. I love the visual gag with the unnecessarily detailed locations and Yaguchi's ever growing title cabinet title. I was grinning the whole time.

I made the joke that if you ask someone like Hillary Clinton to write a monster movie, this would be the result.
