Just to be a dick, I feel I should point out that most of Kieślowski's White (apart from being the weakest film in the trilogy by far) is set in Poland and Rouge takes place entirely in Switzerland. Also, Kieślowski was far from being fluent in French, which earned him the ire of some French critics.
