So this was actually a pretty scary movie. Not perfect by any means, and the characters were mostly terrible. But in terms of its concept and general execution, I thought this delivered pretty well. In fact, had it ended precisely one scene before it did, it damn near woulda been perfect in that regard. But as is often the case with a lot of modern horror flicks, they felt the need to force one last startle on the viewers before rolling credits, and this particular instance is especially unnecessary, overly-telly, and disconnected from the rest of the film. The last scene doesn't necessarily ruin the movie, but it sure as shit cheapens the experience, and they seriously might wanna consider re-releasing the damn thing with the final scene cut, as it just sticks out like a sore thumb in contrast to the otherwise awesome sense of atmosphere pervading throughout the rest of the movie.

I liked it. One of the better found footage movies with some characters that are not exactly cookie cutter.
