This was a decent enough movie on its own, until the ending credits roll and you realize this was a Tarsem Singh movie. At that point, the movie suddenly becomes a bit of a disappointment, as Tarsem is known for his flashy style, and this movie is really just sorta plain and generic. There are even cerebral aspects of the movie that were ripe for him to do something interesting with, but he really does nothing with this material. Feels like a typical studio movie, which, if you can ignore the director involved, is perfectly fine and serviceable on its own. But, damn, Tarsem, what happened? Where's the flair in this thing?

I had no idea Tarsem Singh directed this. That's disappointing to hear.

Whoops. Please delete my thread. I guess the VB search couldn't handle "Self/less"

Bummer. Just found about about this today. I was wondering what Tarsem had been up to.

He needs to make a follow up to The Fall.
