I was hoping to love this based on the opening scenes but naw, it follows the Infernal Affairs formula (mixed up with some vague attempts at being a Chinese answer to Goodfellas) too slavishly to stand out on its own.

I kept wondering if Ray Liotta was on the movie by producer request to have a recognizable Western face. You could leave him out of the final cut without any dramatic consequences whatsoever.
