Holy shit more people need to see this movie. One of the most clever and most satisfying sci-fi flicks I've seen, that tackles so much in its running time. Absolutely phenomenal.

Ive been hearing hot shit about this flick.

Check it out, man. It's available on-demand right now. ;)

Not sure about that central conceit, but very much worth it just for Sarah Snook's performance. She's phenomenal.

I enjoyed the hell out of this. Entertaining from first minute to last. The material is over the top and ridiculous, especially since it's obvious where it's going from the first scene, but Sarah Snook sells it. I also admired how much of a chance it was really willing to take.

I can't think of a movie in recent memory where I enjoyed just a quiet scene in a bar of two people talking as much as I did here.

Where can I see this? Amazon? Not on Netflix, not even as DVD.

It's also available on iTunes.

I think it got a limited release in the US last week or so. DVD comes out Feb 20, iirc.

Yeah, after sleeping on it, I'm bumping my rating up from pro to PRO. God damn great movie. 2014 was an incredible year for science fiction.

I had no idea that this was based on "All You Zombies." I want to see this now.

I don't know about this one. There are a couple of clever metaphors but it's just so in love with itself, even on an overt textual level. I just don't have any patience for Heinlein. In this one when you strip it all away you're given a cute enigma about 'the self' and the ebb and flow of life, but you're also left stranded inside a sphere of narcissism. It works to a point on the level of a parable but falls flat as narrative.

Or maybe I'm out of the loop and the whole concept is just a meta-ironic joke about the masturbatory nature of time travel movies.

Still thinking about this days later.

Still thinking about this one weeks later. Wrote a piece on it trying to convey my feelings on it as best as I could while somehow trying to avoid spoilers, if you or anyone else is interested: http://cwiddop.blogspot.com/2015/01/predestination.html

I loved Daybreakers so I'm definitely interested in this.

Wow this was something else.

Only piece that really bothered me was the spoon fed explanation at the end - everything was perfectly clear, the exposition wasn't necessary.

I cannot believe this film exists. Stunned. 9/10
