It's exactly what you would expect with found footage. It's essentially Blair Witch Project with you know what- The first half is a lot of dialog and the last 25 minutes or so is when it picks up. But it's nothing we haven't seen before. They even pull the "that's the same tree" gag. The acting is genuine enough where I was interested in seeing our characters outcome, but it's hard to want to watch again. Sound effects are pretty bad, but it's only 78 minutes short.

I've read a lot about the ending being terrifying.

I want to see it because I love cryptozoology.
