Why do I still feel compelled to see Draft Day? I know it won't be good! Every time I see an ad on TV I want to roll my eyes. Yet, there's this NFL-controlled part of me that wants to see it anyway, especially after doing my fantasy drafts this weekend. What is wrong with me???

Because it's sports. Same with me. I have it on Netflix and I came close to watching it last night. If you watch it, I'll watch it.

Same. I'm going to watch Draft Day and I hate myself for it. I'll watch just about any sports movie.

The Universal Monster releases are intriguing, but nothing in this week's collection that tugs at my wallet.

Sports do more damage than good in my life, yet I can't kick them.

Eventually I'd like to own The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, and The Bride of Frankenstein on Blu-Ray. I love those three movies, and all three have mediocre prints.

There was a good interview with Reitman on WTF where they talked about Draft Day for a bit. Maron loved it even though he has zero interest in sports.

Maybe because Costner and Sports movies. Did you like the previous ones? Tin Cup, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams,...

To varying degrees, yes. You're probably right, but Costner hasn't been a draw for me in a decade, and this just doesn't look good. But I know I'm going to see it, because I am weak.

Oh I watched it btw. It's OK. I think a few commentators in the thread said it takes itself way too seriously. There were too many variables lining up at the same time.
