wow. so i had completely disregarded these guys for so long because i didn't like you really got me. turns out their later stuff sounds nothing like that! i picked up village green preservation society and i think this is only the beginning.

LOVE The Kinks. The next album of theirs you need is Lola Versus Powerman and the Money-Go-Round, Part One. One of the greatest albums ever made. Easily.

Yeah, it's pretty hard not to love The Kinks. I've got all their albums. My favorite is probably Arthur, though Face to Face is great, as is VGPS, and Lola v. Powerman etc. I'm especially fond of Preservation Act 1 and A Soap Opera as well. Muswell Hillbillies is also good. Screw it, they all rock.
