Wow, first to comment.

I guess I watched it because of faithfulness to Clint Eastwood. About the only good thing I can say about it is that it takes balls to cast four unknowns (well, except for the Boardwalk Empire guy) in a movie like this. Other than that, it's reiterative, incredibly overlong and bloated and it has a rare boring performance from Christopher Walken. The old age make-up in the final scene put it below any sort of acceptable standard for me.

I think I would've liked this more if it was a full-blown musical instead of a typical biopic. Also, didn't the original show had a Rashomon structure? That's lost in this adaptation.
