Not sure how this works as a movie, but definitely worked on me as food porn.

Completely inconsequential flick that both the trailer and the poster above spoil, but that's assuming there's a story to spoil to begin with. It's essentially just the ultimate feel-good, nothing bad happens, everything works out with no effort, the logline literally tells you the whole story kind of movie. But you get a lot of John Leguizamo cracking wise and a good third of the movie is just close-ups of cheese melting and Austin BBQ meat being sliced and mouth watering shit like that. So I laughed quite a bit and walked out hungry even though I ate dinner while watching it. I guess it did its job?

Some poor motherfucker watched this movie eating concession stand popcorn.

This movie had the same ending as Ratatouille.

And it's bankrolled by the food critic.

Completely forgettable, although I can't think of any single reason why it's "bad". It's just... there.

For films this predictable, can we change Spoiler tags to Warning tags? No reason to watch this. On the Enjoyable scale, it's on par with awkward Thanksgiving dinners.

Agree with the consensus. There is nothing at stake but it's a good way to pass the time and is food porn to the max. Liked how social networking aspect was introduced but by the end I thought they went overboard with it. This movie features the sunniest, most unrealistic portrait of a cross country road trip ever.
