Loved this lots.

As dream-like, claustrophobic, unique, enthralling, morbidly funny, grim and dingy as I could've hoped. Visually it seems to have a whole lot of influences swirling about (Gilliam came to mind the most, and then it was no surprise a brother of Harmony Korine had a huge hand in shaping it), but viscerally and tonally it's very much its own thing.

I've always liked Eisenberg a lot, but I think this might be the most confidently he's ever carried a film for me. Even if he somehow only had one of either of his two roles I feel like I'd be saying that, really. And wow, there's so many little bits of amazing people playing small oddball roles that I would honestly watch whole movies based around their brief characters.

So there you go, Ayoade. You proved I could like you more than I already did.
