Report: Writers' strike on the verge of ending
The New York Times is reporting that a "breakthrough" in negotiations on Friday could lead to the end of picketing within a week. According to insiders close to the negotiations, The Times reports that "informal talks between representatives of Hollywood’s striking writers and production companies have eliminated the major roadblocks to a new contract, which could lead to a tentative agreement as early as next week."
