Even with the hassle of added charges for Canadians, a sale like this still results in pretty good deals. I just picked up a few things I'd been meaning to for a while, but had never seen dip below the $35 range, like Paris, Texas and Thin Red Line (especially since they're my two of favourite films period and can't wait to see them look better than ever before).

Barnes & Noble's Criterion half off sale starts tomorrow and runs through Dec 2nd. Anyone who is thinking about that Zatoichi box set that comes out at the end of this month should hop on this deal because that's most likely the cheapest you will find it especially if you're a member or get some other coupon (I just got two 20% off coupons in the mail the other day).

They don't have any Stephen Sommers films on Criterion anyways so you don't have to worry about this sale.

So far I have The Devil's Backbone, Seconds and The Uninvited. The last two are blind buys. Most of these are blind buys for me.

Out of the 65 Criterion blu's I now own I would say 90% of them are blind buys.
