I give you an actor.

You tell me which movie contains their best performance. You get one vote.

Discussion might happen.

After a day or so, the votes are counted. I announce the winning performance.

We then move on to somebody else.

Previous decisions:
Robert De Niro - Raging Bull
Kate Winslet - Heavenly Creatures
Toshiro Mifune - Throne of Blood
Meryl Streep - Adaptation
Michael Keaton - Beetlejuice
Penelope Cruz - Volver
Charlie Chaplin - The Gold Rush
Julianne Moore - Safe
Forest Whitaker - Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
Ingrid Bergman - Notorious
Humphrey Bogart - In a Lonely Place
Liv Ullmann - Scenes From a Marriage
Johnny Depp - Ed Wood
Nicole Kidman - To Die For
John Turturro - Quiz Show
Helena Bonham Carter - Fight Club
Christopher Walken - The Deer Hunter

The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover.

Special mention to her performances in some of those old BBC Shakespeares.

Gosford Park is a close second.

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, & Her Lover

Love Gosford Park, but everyone is basically reduced to a supporting role there. She's more central in Greenaway's film.

She's fine and all, but I can't really pick out a performance from her that I am truly amazed by. I abstain here...

Truly a case of a mediocre film elevated immensely by an amazing performance.

I'm abstaining as well. I really like her but feel I haven't seen enough of her well known performances to judge properly.

"Cannibal." I'm amused that the image Spinal chose is kind of a huge spoiler. But its all good. I love that performance. My pick would have been The Long Good Friday.
