I've debated between the two favorites back and forth and I think I've come down on the side of Eyes Wide Shut.

It's pretty odd that, considering I think she has a plethora of brilliantly varied performances, my first reaction upon seeing this thread was, "I suppose either To Die For or Eyes Wide Shut, for very different reasons." And, to my surprise, that seems to be the consensus (Birth, The Others, Portrait of a Lady and Dogville are aces, too, of course). I'll go with To Die For, though, since it's a tonally tricky role and she's so casually committed, totally nailing the pathology of her character.

She really was great in To Die For, even if I found the movie to be merely good/solid at best. Love that ending though.
