I give you an actor.
You tell me which movie contains their best performance. You get one vote.
Discussion might happen.
After a day or so, the votes are counted. I announce the winning performance.
We then move on to somebody else.
Previous decisions:
Robert De Niro - Raging Bull
Kate Winslet - Heavenly Creatures
Toshiro Mifune - Throne of Blood
Meryl Streep - Adaptation
Michael Keaton - Beetlejuice
Penelope Cruz - Volver
Charlie Chaplin - The Gold Rush
Julianne Moore - Safe
Forest Whitaker - Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
Ingrid Bergman - Notorious
Humphrey Bogart - In a Lonely Place
Liv Ullmann - Scenes From a Marriage

I'm so glad that this weird movie exists.

It's an absolute, glorious mess. One of the strangest movies I've ever seen get a major release. I don't like it, but I'm super glad that it exists. It's so bizarre.

Yeah, I find its preposterousness and incomprehensibility endearing.

The movie is pretty bad too.

The only good thing about Once Upon a Time in Mexico is the extra where Robert Rodriguez teaches you how to make Puerco Pibil, which itself is worth the DVD purchase.
That being said, I vote for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico is the best of the trilogy, and I will throw my vote to Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas.

Ed Wood. Largely because it's the one film of his that I most return to. I can totally get behind loving the Pirates performance, though; shame that it yielded diminishing returns with each sequel.
Had it been a stand-alone film I'm confident it'd have taken this thing.

I like the whole trilogy, but Desperado is just so silly. OUATIM has some great patriotic tones that anyone who's been to that shithole of a country should appreciate. (I've seen all sides of that country; spent the night in a dirt floor home watching futbol on a 12" tv, next day visited a mansion overlooking the city with a grand piano on a glass floor beside an elevator, next day got shook down by cops in a back alley...all in the same week.)

Yeah, I get that everyone's probably sick of seeing Jack Sparrow. But that's a golden performance he gives in the first film.

Gotta go with Edward Scissorhands here.

I almost wanted to vote for Arizona Dream not because I think it's his best performance but just because it's so hugely underseen.

Damnit its tough deciding between Ed Wood and Fear and Loathing. I'll go with Ed Wood, I guess.
