I give you an actor.

You tell me which movie contains their best performance. You get one vote.

Discussion might happen.

After a day or so, the votes are counted. I announce the winning performance.

We then move on to somebody else.

Previous decisions:
Robert De Niro - Raging Bull
Kate Winslet - Heavenly Creatures
Toshiro Mifune - Throne of Blood
Meryl Streep - Adaptation
Michael Keaton - Beetlejuice
Penelope Cruz - Volver
Charlie Chaplin - The Gold Rush
Julianne Moore - Safe

I should say the Last King Of Scotland, but I can't help it...I loved him in Blown Away.

Definitely Bird. He's so magnificent, making Parker a troubled figure but where many performers might wallow in his troubles, Whitaker captures such a grace and intelligence to the character that adds so much more power and complexity to his sad fate. It's a startling realization of a character. He hasn't even come close to topping it for me.

Ghost Dog

Please don't let this win. Please. I know it has a cult following, but I hated it.

Ghost Dog. Just love the scenes between him and Isaach De Bankolé.

I feel like I've missed a few of his key performances. But I will say The Crying Game.

Ghost Dog, though like Spinal, I haven't seen him in many films.

The Last King of Scotland. I really want to see Bird, though.

Quite the body of work.

Ghost Dog, Panic Room, Last King of Scotland... I'm sure he's good in The Butler, but just seems schmaltzy.

Hmm...

He's the reason why Ghost Dog works so well. So GHOST DOG. Sorry SKitch.

I can't really vote, but I did like him in Ghost Dog a lot. I've liked him in what movies I've seen of his. I imagine that The Last King of Scotland or Bird features his best performance. I'll have to find out later.
