I give you an actor.
You tell me which movie contains their best performance. You get one vote.
Discussion might happen.
After a day or so, the votes are counted. I announce the winning performance.
We then move on to somebody else.
Previous decisions:
Robert De Niro - Raging Bull
Kate Winslet - Heavenly Creatures
Toshiro Mifune - Throne of Blood
Meryl Streep - Adaptation
Michael Keaton - Beetlejuice
Penelope Cruz - Volver
Charlie Chaplin - The Gold Rush

I'll go with my first impulse, even though it's not a film I'm particularly fond of.
I think she kills it in The Hours.

Children of Men.
She's consistently good in just about everything. I can't say there's one that stands above the rest.

Not much discussion here. Is it because majority of her roles are all kind of the same? That's not to say it's a bad thing, but like Kate Winslet, it's kind of hard to separate her roles as one being better then the other.

Safe, though I first truly noticed her work in Short Cuts. That monologue is killer.
I think that Moore had a great string of '90s films by quality directors. Her work in the past ten years or so have been variations, not really new material. I say that of course wanting to rewatch Far from Heaven sometime soon.

I'll be the first, and probably only one to say Magnolia.

Personally I think it's much more challenging to pretend to be a bad actor (Boogie Nights) than to pretend to be extremely sick.
