I give you an actor.
You tell me which movie contains their best performance. You get one vote.
Discussion might happen.
After a day or so, the votes are counted. I announce the winning performance.
We then move on to somebody else.
Previous decisions:
Robert De Niro - Raging Bull
Kate Winslet - Heavenly Creatures
Toshiro Mifune - Throne of Blood
Meryl Streep - Adaptation

MICHAEL KEATON
What's my best performance?

Love him, but he's more steady and reliable than ever delivering a sensational performance. The obvious answer seems Beetlejuice, though he was really good in Live from Baghdad and still the best Batman/Bruce Wayne.
I guess I'll go with Beetlejuice.

AWESOME.
It's not his best performance, but I recommend Keaton fans to check out his very underseen Game 6 with Robert Downey Jr.
I think it's his wild approach to BEETLEJUICE that makes the movie, and ultimately, is his best performance as well. I watched a few scenes from that, and forgot how fun that movie is.

Special mention goes to his hilariously at odds with the film performance in Much Ado About Nothing.

But, yeah it's got to be Beetlejuice.

He's been awful in pretty much everything I've seen him in except for Beetlejuice which he was great in.

So you've seen nothing from him?
Hell, he even gives a good performance in Multiplicity.

I've seen Batman, Batman Returns, Multiplicity, Jackie Brown, White Noise and The Other Guys.

I'll keep an open mind though maybe he'll blow me away in Robocop or Need for Speed his next two movies.

I really wanted to make an argument for Pacific Heights. But I'll go with the crowd.

Beetle Juice
I was torn between these two and his brief cameo in Out of Sight. I can't in good conscience vote against Beetlejuice.

I really like him in Beetlejuice, but I'm gonna throw a vote to Jackie Brown.

It's a toss up between Live from Baghdad and Game 6, really.
What the hell, Beetlejuice.

Beetlejuice. All his performances are good but, yeah, no contest.
He's even awesome waving off paparazzi:

I haven't seen enough of his movies, but I would gladly throw out a vote for the 1989 Batman.
Mostly because of this scene:

Wow he was really nice to that paparazzi.
He's smart. A paparazzis' job is to get footage of you freaking out or being a dick. Guys like these are used to shouting out questions and getting sarcasm or no replies or hostility, so when Keaton kept answering the questions honestly, the guy got flustered, repeated questions, and asked nonsensical things.

I tried to come up with some off the wall, obscure one, but I can't fight the wave. It's Beetlejuice by a country mile.

I didn't really like Beetlejuice, and I thought his characters was annoying. But as much as it rubbed me the wrong way, the annoying factor at least felt calculated, and his commitment was impressive.
The only other thing I've really loved him in was The Other Guys, so I guess Beetlejuice.

We have four of the greats and then Michael Keaton. I like how you're switching it up. Who's next Eric Roberts?

Did anyone see the new Larry David film Clear History? Just watching it now and Michael Keaton is giving a pretty solid against type performance.
