I felt curious about watching this since I recently read Ferdyrdurke, a fairly surreal novel that has the same premise - that of a grown person at a critical moment in him/her life who suddenly wakes up to find his/herself back in school and re-living everything that led him/her there.

The novel was good. This, in my humble opinion, was crap, despite the '80s soundtrack and the Jean-Pierre Léaud cameo.
