In Long Way Round, Ewan and Charlie set out to ride motorcycles from London to New York City via an easterly route. This was pretty damn nuts but fascinating to watch. I was expecting a tv show and ended up feeling like it was more fair to call it a documentary. All in all I really enjoyed the journey, and am envious that I will most likely never be able to go on such an adventure, even if it is so dangerous and miserable, its a legendary adventure.

In Long Way Down, the boys are going from Scotland to South Africa. I'm only halfway through this trip, and while its not quite as exhilarating as the last voyage, it is still an excellent watch.

I encourage MC to watch these series'.

Apologies if this thread should be elsewhere, and feel free to move. TV/documentary/rated poll release...

I've seen Long Way Round and really enjoyed it. I'm into motorcycles, so that helped, but overall the banter and engagement with their surroundings make it a fun watch.

I'm not into motorcycles and I loved it. Also, great theme song.

Really enjoyed The Long Way Round also. Started watching The Long Way Down, but I remember something feeling super fake in the opening episode which turned me off continuing. Seen a bit of Charlie Boorman's solo travel show as well, which was quite good.

The thread should be in the TV forum.
