Seyfried and Sarsgaard both do decent jobs. I didn't really know anything about the whole Deep Throat movie before watching this so it was super sad at times. The film employs an interesting mechanic for story telling but it's not clear enough that they're using that mechanic: The first half is the story done sorta happy and playful and the second half is the same movie but all the terrible things that happen. It's a cool idea but it feels like it needed more clarity that they were doing that.
