This should be self-explanatory. I want to know what 6 films you believe to be the sexiest you've seen (and why for those who abhor straight lists)...

EWO was the first film I thought of in response to this thread. Nicole Kidman lounging around in see through nightie-wear is extremely sexy.

Man, I totally spaced on Friday Night, Veronique and BOARDING GATE.

I'll be honest. This thread was 60% created so I can see what Spinal lists. ;)

1. In the Mood for Love: cheongsam + Maggie Cheung = #1
2. Pierrot le Fou: it's weird, but Karina just radiates here as the real-life attraction with Godard draws to a close
3. Friday Night: intimacy of contact and attraction is almost unparalleled in Denis's framing
4. The 39 Steps: is this the first film to make handcuffs attractive?
5. Double Life of Veronique: both for its gorgeous hues and Irene Jacobs
6. Fallen Angels: captures sexual attraction, magnetism, desolation, and earnestness so well

Honorable mentions: Lady Chatterley (2006), Mulholland Dr., Housemaid (1960), The Piano, The Shop Around the Corner, All that Jazz, Pandora’s Box

Metropolitan? I love that movie, but really?
From my DVD collection quickly:

2046. Dat kiss.
Femme Fatale. Serpant dress.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Chemistry.
Closer. Portman's heaven cunt.
Before Sunset. 80 min foreplay banter.
Unfaithful. Naughty milf.

I agree with all of ledfloyd's choices, actually. Notorious is an unexpected one.

Eyes Wide Shut has some sexy scenes. The scene with Nicole Kidman and the older gentleman. The scene with Tom Cruise and the two women. Another scene with Tom Cruise and the prostitute, and a later scene between him and the prostitute's roommate. There's no sex in these scenes, just chemistry and body language.

Very much so.

I think the best one may be the interaction with the prostitute's roommate. Wow.

I don't have too much to offer here but I thought the seduction sequence in Asphalt (1929, Joe May) is the best one I've ever seen. The 10+ minute sequence of scenes is just a wonder to behold.

Oh yes, and as someone else mentioned, Sex and Lucia has probably the most attractive cast (men and women) of any move I've ever seen.

First thing that comes to mind is Sleeping Beauty (naked person one).

05-03-2013, 12:40 AM
Y Tu Mama Tambien (Cuaron) - the atmosphere of fate and discovery
Before Sunset (Linklater) - the realism and tension
Celine and Jules go Boating (Rivette) - The dash to surrealistic freedom is joyous
Desperado (Rodriguez) - sexy people and danger get the heart pumping
Sex and Lucia (Medem)- Because it's my wife's sexiest film

I can't think of a sixth. Possibly The Dreamers, but it's a film that I always want to love, but really only like.

I'm not okay with having forgot to list Ecstasy (1933). Hedy Lamaar needs representation in this thread.

Body Heat and In the Mood For Love were the two that immediate popped into my head.
