I loved the photography, enjoyed Saoirse Ronan's performance as The Wanderer, but I hated her voice work as Melanie.

The cave area where the majority of the film takes place looked like the inside of a Disneyland ride. Ronan was great in Hanna but her Gollum like character in this was laughably bad. I'm a fan of Niccol's Gattaca and In Time but their was no life to this at all.

This is now on Netflix for anyone wanting to watch it. It's not great, but coming from someone who hadn't read the book nor had I read or seen any of the Twilight books/movies, it wasn't as bad as the backlash it's getting. It was hard to tell the teenage boys apart because they all looked the same and didn't really act any differently. I really liked the epilogue scene but it's not really great for a movie to only get me in the last 2 minutes of the film. Still I liked it just enough to yay it, but it's a mild yay.

The most important movie since The Happening.
