I made an executive database decision to put this in 2013. It played at a horror festival in 2012 but never actually got released in theaters and went straight to video just coming out this month (and on netflix instant). By doing some searching I found out this movie was made back in 2009 and they kept pushing it's release back.

This was a surprisingly tense thriller. I had read a review mentioning a crazy twist but they didn't spoil it and knowing there was a twist I guessed it pretty early on but I never would have guessed the level of crazy and I kind of like the movie more for it.

Edit: Actually according to wikipedia this film finished shooting in 2008.

It was cool to see Jennifer Carpenter stretch outside of her comfort zone playing a cop who is going after a serial killer. But seriously she was pretty good in this as was Mae Whitman and Dallas Roberts. Also features Peter Parker's neighbor girl from the Spider-Man trilogy.
