Stupid as all get out, but I still had fun with it. *shrug*

I had to do a double take when I found out this was lensed by Conrad Hall. But it was his son. Evidently.

Wow this was more entertaining than I was expecting. They certainly didn't shy from leaving a lot of bodies on the ground. Every time they were building to a usual action movie cliche, they would make a left turn before completing, which was really nice. Other than some heavy handed flag waving, I found only one really bad plot hole...

They say, "Once the bunker is sealed there's no way in or out", but then people are immediately (and for the rest of the movie) nonchalantly coming and going as they please from said bunker.

Wow. This scrapes some new levels of incompetence for American action cinema.

I watched this because I was in the mood for something light and dumb, but I hadn't bargained for it to be this dumb. The only other discernible surprise was that it was way more violent and vulgar than I ever expected, almost to hilarious extent where everyone's last stand off is punctuated by a "Fuck you!" before they're horrifically shot up.

But yeah, just awful.

Way less plausible but way more entertaining than White House Down.

Loool. There's gonna be a sequel, called, probably tentatively, "London has fallen."

'The plot will revolve around a terrorist plot scheduled to coincide with the funeral of the British Prime Minister,'

haha, some dude on ain't it cool:

I guess if you're going to hatch a terrorist plot, it's a great idea to execute it while the whole of Britain is in the pub celebrating.

How this movie made more money and I assume was more well-liked than White House Down makes me think that the taste of the moviegoing public makes absolutely no fucking sense at all.

I'm not a huge fan of White House Down, but I'm definitely in its camp over this.

The best I can say about this movie is that I didn't hate it. This movie just sort of exists. It's on Netflix though for anyone looking to watch it.

I liked it as much as I liked the Die Hard movies, which is to say it passed as an entertaining action film, but nothing I'm going to dwell on.

This has to have one of the stupidest openings I've ever seen.

Also: I can't think of anyone working now who has a sadder, more disappointing career arc than Ashley Judd.

I thought this was kinda funny but the FCC is fining every network that broadcast the trailer below because it uses tones from the REAL emergency broadcast system.
