This had a limited commercial release in San Francisco earlier this year, close enough!

As for the film, it's straight-up bananas, and at its worst, sometimes oppressively gaudy, with significant chunks that don't work in any conventional sense. But it's also deeply eccentric, idiosyncratic, and personal filmmaking that is never less than fully engaging, and often proves startling for the evident joy of its experimentation, as well as the nakedness with which Coppola is wrestling his creative and private demons. Meanwhile, Kilmer is awake and appearing to give a shit, while Fanning continues to astonish.

I saw it last year at TIFF, really enjoyed it. It's not totally consistent, but is generally a lot of fun, love the aesthetics. It's a good, folk-arty kind of quirky.

The Comic-Con panel was better than the movie itself, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't appreciate this.
