Well, as some of you may remember, I host a movie club in Buenos Aires (www.quienesramonareyes.com.ar ) and we do a different theme every month.
October was revenge, it was awesome and we're wrapping it up next Monday showing Oldboy.
I don't generally go to the forum for this type of thing because in a way I consider it cheating. The combined film knowledge of all of you is far too large and so I rely on my own investigation to find some curious films to watch.
But I'm relying on Match-Cut for this because it's not for the main course (the film) but for the appetizers. I'm searching YouTube for some fun film trailers about obscure, B-class or simply weird revenge flicks. The purpose is to show two odd trailers before Oldboy in Monday.
They can be trailers that are fun to watch because of the ridiculous premise or they can be trailers for not-so-bad films that are simply fun to watch because they're dated or feature fun music... The general idea is to put a smile on the audience's faces before they are bludgeoned to agony by Oldboy.
To give you an example of what I'm aiming for, September's theme was "twins" and before the final movie (Dead Ringers) I attached the trailers for Twins (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtlB7q96NMs) and Twins of Evil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq3Y-krfCjA).
Suggestions?
