Alright! Sorry for the delay.
Post your synopsis here. It should contain only the people you drafted. Certainly, you can mention other characters, but they are to remain without actor/actress names.
Present however you want. More importantly, have fun with it!

Anderson Burning to Adapt Notorious Witch Hunter's Manual
Tony Kushner is on board to write 15th century 'historical horror'
BY Dave McNary
Miramax Films has tapped American film director, Paul Thomas Anderson ("There Will Be Blood") to direct an adaptation of Malleus Maleficarum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malleus_Maleficarum), an infamous treatise written in 1486 by Heinrich Kramer and Jacob Sprenger, a pair of German clergymen, as a sort of how-to guide for would-be witch-finders.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v696/joel_harmon/paul-thomas-anderson-1-1.jpg
Anderson
Anderson teams for the first time with Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist, Tony Kushner ("Angels in America"), whose previous film credits are slight ("Munich", the forthcoming "Lincoln"), despite being much decorated in the theatre world.
Anderson and Kushner may face a stiff challenge, as Malleus Maleficarum contains neither plot nor characters in a conventional sense. It is, rather, a lengthy, fanatical work that makes a case for the reality of witchcraft based on numerous anecdotes, and offers detailed advice on how to conduct a witch trial. Though it is unclear how closely Kushner intends to stick to reality, Anderson noted via Twitter that his next project would be "a historical horror film."
Malleus Maleficarum (in English, Hammer of the Witches) has previously been adapted for a different medium, the Norwegian rock opera, Which Witch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-c2eyzcMkY), a much maligned venture that was selected (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/theatre/3672844/The-10-worst-musicals-of-all-time.html) by The Telegraph as the second worst West End musical of all-time. Let's hope Anderson and Kushner fare better.

THE PREPRODUCTION
http://assets.huluim.com/shows/key_art_alfred_hitchcock_prese nts.jpg
Alfred Hitchcock and Sergio Leone both attended the 1972 Cannes Film Festival. Hitchcock was premiering his latest film, Frenzy, and Sergio Leone was simply a guest, being entertained as he had been a jury member a year ago. They had a simple dinner together at a lovely beachside restaurant, that later turned into breakfast. What resulted was an outline for how The Man With No Name would have his finale. Despite the massive egos that both had carried, they had agreed that Sergio would write, and Hitchcock would direct. Sergio knew The Man With No Name, and Hitchcock was already spouting off camera directions. Both had an understanding.
Unfortunately, the material never materialized. Family health problems kept Hitchcock from seriously taking on the overwhelming project, and Sergio Leone refused to do it without the partnership of Hitchcock, but he did write on, in hopes that Alfred would eventually meet up with him. Sergio mailed the finished script to Hitchcock with a note, "One can dream."
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--IXY0zM0u78/TdFfetc7y2I/AAAAAAAAFKA/-5yYHGOkV5w/s640/cannes+beach%252C+1955.png
A few years later, they met again at Cannes, for Hitchcock's final movie, Family Plot. Hitchcock returned with a notebook full of storyboards. Hitchcock had detailed camera directions, casting info, sound effects, all mapped out. It's a well-known quote that Hitchcock thought that actors could be treated like cattle. Hitchcock gave Sergio his blessing that this movie could follow the storyboards, and still remain a Hitchcock film. They agreed to Ennio Morricone doing the music, and Tonino Delli Colli as the DP. It was set, with or without Hitchcock, there would still be another Hitchcock movie.

Sadly, Alfred had passed away a few years later, and Sergio did not feel right about it. He went on to do his masterpiece Once Upon A Time In America, and that would be his final film.
http://filmantrop.no/blogg/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Once-Upon-a-Time-in-America.jpg
Sergio Leone was the head of the jury at the Venice Film Festival in 1988, where he spoke with Clint Eastwood for the first time in several years. The two had a conflict when Sergio had called Robert DeNiro, "A real actor." Eastwood made amends by showing Leone a print of his latest film, Bird, a Forest Whitaker jazz movie that Leone had liked. Leone discussed his collaboration with Hitchcock, and passed the script to Eastwood. Eastwood was fascinated, but incredibly busy. Leone was busy with his next film about Stalingrad. Both agreed that they could do it in the early 90's.
Stalingrad never materialized, and Eastwood went on to do Unforgiven. Eastwood kept the script in his offices, awaiting the perfect time for special effects to handle an important hurricane scene in the climax of the movie.
That time is now.

Ridley Scott to direct Full Moon
Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, has signed on to direct another action/fantasy piece written Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy). Already signed on to star in this film are Scarlett Johansson(Lost in Translation), Chris Hemsworth(Thor), Emile Hirsch(Speed Racer) and Shailene Woodley(The Descendants). Trent Reznor(The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) is signed on to provide the score, while Darius Khondji(Se7en, The City of Lost Children) is signed on for Cinematography.
The story follows a young woman(Woodley) who has recently moved to a small town in the Pacific Northwest. While attending night school, she meets a strange and reclusive man(Hemsworth) with whom she is immediately intrigued by. It turns that he is taken by her too, but warns her to not fall for him. She is also warned by her new best friend(Hirsch) to steer clear for her own good. Nevertheless, a love triangle soon develops as the two men vie for her heart, though she only has eyes for one.
When a rash of murders strike the area and the romance growing, secrets are revealed. The reclusive lover is a vampire, and responsible for a few of the bodys, but a new threat, a slayer(Johansson), has begun killing fellow vampires and threatens to tear this love apart. Only the friend, with his own secret, has the power to save their love, but in so doing also destroy any chance he may have. Does he choose to her happiness over his own? He must strike, should he make that choice, the one day he is able...the next Full Moon.
Note: my basic idea was what if Twilight wasn't a tween romance, but rather a rated R fantasy/action/drama film keeping true to most vampire/werewolf lore.

These are very good so far, and in a similar vein to what I was planning on doing. I will have mine up tonight or tomorrow, as my promo materials are on my home PC.
Yeah, I didn't put nearly as much thought or effort into this as some of you guys, but eh, here's what I've got:
With a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head, Vash the Stampede (Ryan Gosling) is the most wanted man on the whole desert laden planet of Gunsmoke. He's a master marksman who manages to bring chaos with him wherever he goes. As a result of his chaos, Meryl Stryfe (Mandy Moore) and her partner with the Bernardelli Insurance Company are assigned to track him down and keep tabs on all of the damage left behind by "The Humanoid Typhoon".
Meryl soon finds out, much to her chagrin, that despite his reputation, Vash is actually a goofy, kind-hearted man who refuses to kill at all costs, and only really strives to spread the message of love and peace. But in order to achieve peace, Vash will have to run the gauntlet left by his merciless brother, Knives (Ewan McGregor). He'll be forced to revisit the demons of his past that lead to his ginormous bounty, and his own cherished values will be put to the ultimate test in this action packed space western.
Zack Snyder brings his slick signature style to this adaptation of Yasuhiro Nightow's popular action series, with composer Danny Elfman providing a rocking score to compliment Snyder's music video-esque approach. Starring Ryan Gosling and Mandy Moore, with Ewan McGregor, and featuring Kate Beckinsale as Rem Saverem. Cinematography by Bill Pope (The Matrix, Spider-Man 2), and screenplay written by John Logan (Rango, Sweeney Todd).

Cuaron talks Utopia's Gate
Alfonso Cuaron is hard at work on his latest project - directing Andrew Stanton's Utopia's Gate. When asked what drew him to the project, Cuaron was quick to credit Stanton's methods.
"Andrew and I are similar in the way we look at our films," Cuaron said. "We both prefer visualizing ideas before shooting them rather than relying on editing and the cutting room floor. It's one reason having Christopher [Doyle] on board is so crucial. He can frame and shoot anything, and do it better than just about anyone."
The film, set in the United States some time after "The Big Quake" also seemingly gives him the chance to return to science fiction. Cuaron disagrees.
"I'm not comfortable calling it science fiction," he said. "Then again, I didn't think Children of Men was really science fiction either. It's simply a story told in Earth's future time. The script is quite extraordinary. There's a similar mix of hope and hopelessness throughout it all. It's actually quite breathtaking."
http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj588/kuelthador/ugate2.png
The film tells the story of a former cop/private detective (Robert Downey, Jr.) who goes undercover as an inmate in a post-apocalyptic prison to try and discover the identity of the man or men who are responsible for a series of bombings in Phoenix, Arizona, one of which claimed the life of his daughter (Elle Fanning).
Laura Linney co-starts as Downey's partner and Sir Ian McKellen makes an appearance as a veteran inmate who acts as Downey's contact within the prison population.
"I would have been crazy to turn down a chance to work with such a cast," Cuaron said. "When you luck into an opportunity like this, you'd have to be a bit of a moron to say no."
The film also features scoring from long-time Pixar collaborator Michael Giacchino.
Utopia's Gate opens April 19, 2013.

Billy Wilder's Long Lost "Chameleon" Attracts Colorful Cast
One of Billy Wilder's lost scripts has been recovered and is attracting some serious talent. Wilder wrote the screenplay in 1961, shortly after The Apartment became such a success. The original script, entitled The Chameleon, contained a lead actor with three actresses in the main cast, but the studio forced Wilder's hand to modify the story to accomodate another actor. Unwilling to sacrifice a drastic shift in the narrative, Wilder transformed one of the protagonist's affairs into a homosexual relationship. The studio was not ready to risk financing a picture with such a risque foundation, however, and sent Wilder back to the writers' room. Wilder refused to change his screenplay again and believed this new draft was stronger and rang truer than ever. The script was ultimately rejected and never saw the light of production. Many studio insiders thought of the script as ahead of its time, but unfortunately did not see the current social milieu of the country wililng ot embrace this kind of picture. Nearly fifty years later, interest has been reignited...
Mike Nichols (The Graduate, Closer) acquired the script and signed on to direct the once forgotten project for Focus Features. Jon Hamm (Mad Men) will lead the cast of the romantic dramedy playing a married international businessman in the 1960's who carries on different affairs all over the globe. While all of his lovers may know him by the same name, he shifts into distinct personas given each new environment. Penelope Cruz (Vicki Cristina Barcelona) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain) have both signed on to play two of Hamm's lovers. Cruz plays a flight attendant who accompanies Hamm on many European vacations while Gyllenhaal plays a freespirited bartendar on the Las Vegas strip. The cast is rounded out by Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler) who plays Hamm's suspecting wife as she begins to put the pieces together and takes a journey of her own to discover who exactly is this man that she married. The film will be shot by longterm Paul Thomas Anderson collaborator Robert Elswit (There Will Be Blood, Magnolia) and feature original music by rock/country singer Ryan Adams.

Sounds like a stretch.
Haha, true. The way I envision it, channeling Don Draper would only be a third of the performance. His persona with Cruz would be much more lighthearted, comedic, and charming, while his persona with Gyllenhaal's character would be reckless, suave, and impulsive. His relationship with his wife would probably be the most like Don Draper, but a little warmer than Betty/Don.

SURVIVOR
Tender Branson (Joseph Gordon Leavitt) sits in the cockpit of a Boeing 747-400, telling his life story to the black box. Tender is a member of the fanatical Creedish cult, which engaged in a mass suicide ten years ago. Creedish members have been steadily killing themselves since the mass suicide, in keeping with their belief that the deliverance is at hand.
One day, Tender goes to the mausoleum to steal fake flowers for his employer's garden (a common pastime), at the tomb, he meets Fertility Hollis (Jamie King), a surrogate mother for couples who can't conceive. However, Fertility actually happens to be barren, so her job is, in essence, prostitution.
Tender has his weekly meeting with his caseworker from the Federal Survivor Retention Program (Vera Farmiga), a government agency that keeps tabs on the survivors of suicide cults.
On a bus ride downtown, Tender recognizes a man's pants as Creedish dress, and suddenly recognizes the man as Adam (Guy Pearce), his brother, whose involvment with other survivors deaths is in question.
Tender begins receiving phone calls from journalists and agents wanting his story. Tender calls an agent and takes a flight to New York that very night. Thus begins his road to stardom. The agent's company has been planning for years to turn the last survivor of the Creedish cult into a religious celebrity. They create a fake history for Tender and completely overhaul his body. He is given steroid injections, health food, teeth caps, and is made to exercise and diet incessantly until he is the model of attractiveness. It is made clear by the agent that no one will worship an ugly religious leader. Tender is entirely agreeable to all of it, as he has no will to live and desires fame only in order to have an enormous audience for when he commits suicide.
Based on the book of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk, and adapted for the screen by Quentin Tarantino. Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper) was offered the job of directing duties when Tarantino decided to move forward with a different project. After Johnson signed on (with Tarantino's blessing), he quickly signed up Janusz Kamiński (Minority Report) as cinematographer, and Geoff Barrow (Portishead) to compose the score for the film.

Werner Herzog Saves Co-Star's Life on Set of 'Kramer and Sprenger'
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v696/joel_harmon/505px-Werner_Herzog_Bruxelles_03_cro pped-erinc-salor.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v696/joel_harmon/udo.jpg
Production halted on Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming opus, "Kramer and Sprenger", as the prolific career of German actor, Udo Kier, nearly came to an abrupt and fiery end. Filming a critical scene in which his character sets fire to the home of an accused witch, played by Liv Ullmann, Kier inadvertently set his own costume ablaze.
"Within seconds, he was consumed in flames," noted Belgian cinematographer, Benoît Debie. Despite the danger, Debie gamely kept the camera rolling. "I've filmed a nine-minute rape. I've filmed Paz de la Huerta's abortion. It takes more than melting flesh to throw me off my game."
Fortunately, Kier's co-star and countryman, Werner Herzog (best known for his storied directing career) calmly saved the day by soothingly convincing Kier that he was not in fact on fire, but rather had plunged headlong into the depths of insanity. Within minutes, Kier had disrobed entirely and cast his costume into a nearby stream. Said Herzog, "It was not a significant fire."
"Kramer and Sprenger" is an adaptation of the Malleus Maleficarum, a 15th century manual for witch-hunters. Herzog and Kier star in the title roles.
Asked whether footage of the near-tragedy might find its way into the finished product, Anderson wryly responded, "I've got Jonny [Greenwood] working on scoring it as we speak."

Malick to Direct New film The Father, a Cross Between Brakhage and Murnau
By Gary Forman
http://s3.amazonaws.com/auteurs_production/images/cast_member/1612/original.png
Terrence Malick follows up his legendary run of productivity following Lawless and Knight of Cups with a new endeavor, announcing plans to direct Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardennes’ script The Father.
With a cast that includes Juliette Binoche, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michelle Williams, and Paul Schneider, the film examines fatherhood and compassion from two competing perspectives, a Nigerian/French couple, played by Ejiofor and Binoche, and a lower-class Midwestern couple, played by Schneider and Williams. Tackling ethnic and class divides with equal aplomb, the Dardenne brothers’ script depicts these two couples first apart, separated by country, before collapsing time and distance in an experimental play with cinematic form.
Cinematographer Agnès Godard let slip in an online interview that the second half of the film layers their narratives over one another. Exposing the negatives of film narrative to degrees of light, Malick’s narrative “creates a miraculous prism effect” that lets these characters interact with one another in new ways typically unseen in contemporary cinema.
Godard claims that, coupled with composer Philip Glass’s treatment of rhythm, repetition, and minimalism, the effect is said to be startling and “magical, a fitting tribute to the magic hour” of Malick’s cinema. Binoche, in a soundbooth recording voiceovers with the other actors, has also stated how triumphant this experience has been, proclaiming this layering to be a bold new level, blending “Brakhage and Murnau” to create a new cinematic rhythm, where voiceovers play to both narratives simultaneously.

Aronofsky To Helm Cronenberg's "Desire"
Darren Aronofsky, best known for directing narratives featuring characters following obsessions, from drugs in Requiem For A Dream to perfection in Black Swan, this time will direct a script penned by David Cronenberg (The Fly, Dead Ringers), entitled 'Unconscious Desire'.
The story follows a mid-twenties male named Steve Burcham (Andrew Garfield) who has recurring nightmares of the murder of a young woman he does not know. He goes to his best and more successful friend, Andrew (Benedict Cumberbatch), who refers him to a therapist (Ellen Burnstyn), who in helping him, recommends he keep a dream journal. All goes well until he comes to meet the girl he's been dreaming about, as a coffee shop waitress named Katherine (Natalie Portman).
Later, after saving her from a mugging, Steve comforts Katherine, and in turn, they begins to feel comfortable around each other. After they part for the night, Steve feels confident about himself and his good deed, and even finds himself in love with Katherine. However, that night, Steve has a gruesome nightmare that implies that Katherine is not the sweet, loving, innocent girl she appears to be.
From there Steve's objective is to gain and maintain a relationship with Katherine and better his lonely existence in the process. However, his nightmares of Katherine continue as well, each one more gruesome than the last, and even progress into day-time hallucinations. As Steve's perception of the world becomes more surreal and dream-like by the day, he grows more paranoid of Katherine's true intentions, unsure if she can be trusted.
With dream sequences hearkening back to Cronenberg's days of body horror, a haunting musical score from Angelo Badalamenti, and photography from Aronofsky regular Matthew Libatique, Unconscious Desire has the potential to ooze with high levels of surrealism.

Chris Nolan Talks Akira Adaptation with Blomkamp
http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/090209/Movies/Movie_News/090212chrisnolan1.jpg
‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Inception’ helmer Chris Nolan has agreed to write the long anticipated live action adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's magma anime Akira, with Neill Blomkamp (District 9) behind the camera. “I knew I wanted to work on a project with Neill when I saw what he was able to accomplish with District 9”, Nolan said. “Having a constricted budget and still being able to pull off those set pieces was impressive”.
Nolan will be writing the script which he has said will “deviate slightly from the source material” by portraying the two main characters as brothers and take place in the United States.
When asked if Akira will be shot in 3D Nolan said he was “going to have a talk” with Neill about avoiding the 3D cameras. Nolan has strongly opposed filming in 3D in the past since his scripts have not been specifically written for 3D shots.
Because of Nolan’s success in the box office, Hollywood talent has been soliciting to Nolan’s production company which is partially funding the project, and includes Academy Award nominee, James Franco to star as the Kaneda. Nolan also stated he has spoken to his good friend and colleague Hans Zimmer to write the score. “You need this kind of talent on a project of this scope,” said Blomkamp. “To work with the industry’s best motivates you to put out a film that not only fans of the IP will love, but to gain the respect of new fans as well. That’s what we set out to do.” Blomkamp also stated they are in talks to getting Wally Pfister on board the project. Pfister had worked with Nolan on nearly all of films as principle cinematographer.
The original story portrays the story of a secret military project that endangers a futuristic Tokyo when it turns a biker gang member into a rampaging psionic psychopath that only two kids and a group of psionics can stop.
Update: Variety has obtained a leaked script which includes casting information. Summary below.
Circa 2043, Kaneda (James Franco) defends his family and faction from looters, aggressors and bandits in Neo-New York, a grim shadow of its former appearance. Kaneda's older half-brother, Tetsuo (Jeremy Renner) is a jealous…. He thinks his brother is the favored of the group, taking most of the credit with defending the camp. When Tetsuo puts the group into danger with his reckless behavior during a skirmish with bandits, Keneda is there to save him. Ungrateful, Tetsuo strays further from the group and tries to hit on Jess (Michelle Monaham), who coordinates food rations for the group, but soon finds out she fancies Kaneda instead.
Furious Tetsuo is determined to impress Jess and win back the respect of the group by infiltrating the largest rival bandit group, but is injured when he crashes his motorcycle into Takashi (uncasted), a small esper. Takashi is captured by what is left of the US government, a group of armed soldiers led by Colonel Shikishima (Cate Blanchett). Tetsuo is also taken into custody.
Meanwhile, Doctor Onishi (uncasted) discovers Tetsuo’s encounter with Takashi, he now possesses psychic capabilities similar to Akira, a young esper who destroyed New York 31 years ago in December 2012. Kiyoko (uncasted), another esper, has visions of Neo-New York's destruction, and the Colonel decides to kill Tetsuo. Tetsuo flees from the hospital and meets up with Jess, who is surprised he is out of custody, still in a hospital gown, and is speaking ominously since Tetsuo is seeing visions of the apocalypse but cannot make sense of them. Jess begins to suspiciously fear Tetsuo and radios Kaneda for assistance using a silent alarm. Tetuso begins to hallucinate he is being attacked by other Espers, and accidently unleashes telekinesis powers destroying Jess’s shop.
Tetsuos psychic capability is tracked by the government who show up to bring Tetsuo into custody just as Keneda arrives. Neither Keneda or Jess understand the government’s involvement with Tetsuo but are determined to rescue him. Meanwhile, Takashi, Kiyoko and Masaru (uncasted) — another Esper — unsuccessfully attempt to kill Tetsuo through a series of psychic projections. Tetsuo eventually goes on a violent rampage through the hospital, intent on killing the espers and freeing himself from the compound. Kaneda and Jess infiltrate the compound but are unable to stop Tetsuo's rampage. Tetsuo eventually learns about Akira, and his location in cryonic storage below Neo-New York’s new Olympic Stadium and flees again.
Desperate to find Tetsuo, the Colonel places Neo-New York under martial law. Tetsuo confronts and kills Yamagata (uncasted), a member of Keneda’s team. He then proceeds to destroy the city as he makes his way to the Stadium, brutally dispatching the military forces who attempt to stand in his way. Upon learning of Yamagata's death from his more friends, Kaneda follows Tetsuo to the stadium, with the understanding Tetsuo must be stopped. When Tetsuo arrives at Akira's cryonic dewar flask, he defeats Kei and exhumes the Akira vault from the ground, but discovers all that is left of Akira are glass canisters filled with his remains, his body having been subjected to numerous scientific experiments.
Kaneda confronts and unsuccessfully tries to defeat Tetsuo with an experimental laser weapon. The Colonel tries to kill Tetsuo using an orbiting space weapon, only to sever Tetsuo's right arm. Tetsuo eventually pulls the weapon into the atmosphere and synthesizes an artificial arm from the remains while studying Akira's organs. When Kaori arrives, Tetsuo's psychokinetic powers have begun to cause him immense pain. The Colonel explains that the espers' migraine-controlling drugs administered to Tetsuo are to stunt the evolution of uncontrollable abilities. Despite the Colonel's pleas for Tetsuo to return to the hospital, Tetsuo nearly kills the Colonel, but Kaneda confronts him. Unable to control his powers, Tetsuo's body begins to transform into a giant, shapeless mass, inadvertently killing Jess and engulfing Kaneda.
The espers awaken Akira, who had merely grown beyond the requirement of a coherent biological form. Manifesting himself from the canisters, Akira reunites with his friends. Akira emits psychic powers, seen as a blinding ball of light that engulfs the city, which he uses to contain Tetsuo. As Akira confronts Tetsuo, the espers hurry to teleport the Colonel and Keneda to safety. The other espers join Takashi, aware they likely will not be able to return. Kaneda experiences Tetsuo's and the espers' childhood memories, including how much Tetsuo trusted Kaneda as a brother and how the children were first studied before Tokyo's destruction.
The espers remove Kaneda from the destruction and tell him that Akira will be taking Tetsuo to safety. Akira's psychic power destroys most of Neo-New York, and — after disappearing — leaves a void that is quickly filled by the ocean. Doctor Onishi is killed when his research laboratory is crushed. Kaneda awakens to discover that Jess and Yamagata has survived, and they drive away into the city. The Colonel watches the sun rising over the destroyed city. The film ends with Tetsuo coming into full control of his powers as he initiates a Big Bang in another dimension.
Update 2: Cate Blanchett and Jermey Renner ‘s publicist have confirmed they have accepted roles in the Akira adaptation.
In a quick telephone interview with Chris Nolan, he said; “We wanted someone who can give us the kind of anger Tetsuo showed us in the original source material. [Jermey] shows us he can do that with his performance in ‘The Town’. And Cate has the ability to give us leadership and power from a military perspective. I wanted her in this project since day 1.”

Better Now Then Never
http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/a-man-with-no-name-mo-t.jpg
It's been 46 years since Blondie (Clint Eastwood) had his encounter with Tuco and Angel Eyes. The West is over as it's mostly owned territory now. There are no outlaws.
Blondie resides in Galveston, Texas, a major cotton port city. At this time, it's population is even larger then Houston.
http://yesteryearsnews.files.wordpres s.com/2010/06/hotel-galvez.jpg
Blondie is well-known within the city as one of the major porters. He helped build the first opera house in Texas, helped open the first orphanage, and was the man to turn on the first electric lights in Texas. But that's not why Blondie is well known. The "legend" of Blondie is what has people talking. Nobody dares ask though. That is until Clive Newton arrives into town.
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lw233hXdv51r0h2qro1_500 .jpg
Clive Newton (Cillian Murphy) is a museum owner from the North that wants western artifacts. He has determined that Blondie's legends may just be true, and wants to bring those artifacts back with him. He knows that Blondie must still own the weapons that he used forty years ago to acquire $200,000 in gold from a dead man's chest, and $27,000 from an earlier plight. Blondie is negative to Newton's arrival and claims he has never spent one dollar from those days.
Newton doesn't come alone. Following him unknowingly, is the beautiful Neyva (Zoe Saldana), the daughter to Tuco, who been coached her entire life to shoot and track down the man that stole money from their family... It had taken her eight years to do it, but she has finally found the man... Neyva is a well-known cattle robber and thief in the East. She is especially quick to fire, not really concerned about fair play in a gun battle.
Newton decides to take his motive personal, and goes to New Orleans, where he tracks down Blondie's own daughter, Elizabeth. His gang get into a gunfight just outside of Kansas City, and kidnap Elizabeth.
Neyva has also gotten considerably mean, essentially torturing Blondie by setting part of his home on fire, stealing his cattle, and finally derailing a train that was to deliver product.
[Keep in mind, this is Hitchcock directing the innocent man, guilty of a bad past... A common theme for him]
When Blondie receives the news that his daughter has been kidnapped, he has determined that whatever personal honor there was in the past, is completely gone now, and he will have to bring his gun out again. His past is catching up to him.
The finale takes place on May 8th, 1900, also the day of the Galveston Hurricane. While thousands are being evacuated, the three meet at the Galveston Opera House to settle their differences.
Newton easily gives up the daughter when Blondie surrenders the gun. The hurricane starts taking a toll on the city, and Neyva guns down Newton, and wants the money. The hurricane becomes too much, and they must all take cover... They survive.
Blondie reveals the location is underneath the opera house, where the conductor is. However, by this time, the gold has since been taken away by the storm. Gold is scattered about, but very small amounts. It could be anywhere. Neyva is later killed by other looters doing the same thing.
Blondie manages to live without killing a person or living with negativity. He proved himself to his daughter, even if it is at the ripe age of 81. Better now then never.

HA!
I love the crew making your Akira, but some of the character castings are questionable. I'll wait for the trailer, but I have learned to have faith in Nolan. He always delivers. :P
C'mon, that version of Survivor would rule.

Idea for a movie titled "A Most Distinguished Gentleman"
http://s3.amazonaws.com/criterion-production/explore_images/400/wes_anderson_top_10_03.jpg?132 8128309
George Clooney plays Archibald B. Hayes, a charming state senator. He makes the mistake of falling in love with Elise (MEW), a lovely younger woman who enjoys motorcycles and making small statues of ex-presidents. She unfortunately lost part of her right elbow in a rather unfortunate riding accident. Her brother, Jason Schwitmen was a sailor thought lost at sea, but he was merely swallowed by a large trout (cue typical Wes Anderson really awesome diagram) and had to cut his way out with nothing more but a Swiss Army Knife and a pair of pliers.
Angelica Huston is the aging reporter who uncovers Hayes' affair, yet instead of reporting it chooses to blackmail him for insider tips on state senate business and underground cock fights. The film concludes with a Mark Mothersbaugh song as Clooney and MEW end up going their separate ways. Cue some Bob Dylan for the ending credits. Film will feature Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and The Kinks.
Director: Wes Anderson
Actors: George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman
Actresses: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anjelica Huston
Composer: Mark Mothersbaugh
Screenwriters: Own Wilson, Wes Anderson
Cinematographer: Robert D. Yeoman:

Post your synopsis here. It should contain only the people you drafted. Certainly, you can mention other characters, but they are to remain without actor/actress names.

I have to admit I'm not very good at this. This is an extremely formulaic-sounding story. But I'll give it a shot.
Unnamed Studios is proud to announce that they have agreed to terms with a very talented cast for David Fincher's (The Social Network, Fight Club) next picture. Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, The Fighter) will headline, with actor Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, True Grit) and actresses Marion Cotillard (Inception, Midnight in Paris) and Jennifer Connelly (Requiem for a Dream, A Beautiful Mind) will play vital supporting roles. Fincher will direct from a script penned by Michael Mann (Heat, The Insider). The film will also feature cinematography from Dariusz Wolski (Pirates of the Caribbean, Prometheus) and an original score from Clint Mansell (Moon, Black Swan).
This thriller centers around a detective named Trent Holst (Bale) who has it all: he's solved a number of high-profile cases, has the respect and admiration of nearly everyone he knows, and has a loving and beautiful wife (Connelly). However, he holds a dark secret: he once falsified evidence to put away a lethal killer (Pepper) who left no traces behind.
Now the killer has escaped from prison and he, of course, has a vendetta against Holst. To make matters worse, Holst meets a mysterious woman (Cotillard) who he cannot help but feel attracted to and who appears to know his dirty secret. What is her connection to this case? Can Holst put the killer out of commission for a second time without his secret being revealed?

Shanghai in the 40s, Poppy once said :
"I didn't think such a place existed except in my own imagination. It has a ghastly familiarity like a half-remembered dream. *Anything* could happen here... any moment..."

Poppy... Poppy was my grandmother, these words were the only things she had left to my mother. She had my mother very young and my mother had me rather old. Before my mother died, she asked me to go to Shanghai, and feel the place, perhaps imagine, imagine like a dream...

My friend said once to me "If memories could be canned, would they also have expiry dates? If so, I hope they last for centuries.". My friend was a cop in Hong Kong in the 90s. He kept telling me over and over his love story with a blonde girl he just had met the day before his birthday. His birthday was on May the first, he always had to run on this day. Anyway, he spent one night with her and she suddently disappeared. He met her again in Shanghai a few years ago. I received an invitation for their wedding, I didn't plan to go, but I had to go to Shanghai for an article I've to write, an article about a gambling house owned by a certain "Mother" Gin Sling in Shanghai in the old times....

"Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting." (Haruki Murakami)
I woke up this morning. My phone was ringing, surely for a long time, it was someone I could hardly remember, a voice, a woman voice with an accent I couldn't define. The voice said I had to go Shanghai, very urgently, everything was set.
Shanghai, nowadays
