Whoa this is tough. The Cloverfield monster was pretty hard to kill, almost impossible really, and it had those really freaky little monster creatures. However, King Kong beat Godzilla and is one tough mofo. I'll have to think about this one.

They never killed the Cloverfield MonsterI know this, but I didn't feel like spoiling it. Regardless, it doesn't matter too much in this tourney, considering that Jason can't really be killed, nor can Freddy, and yet people voted against them.

With that in mind, I'm going with Kong. I'll admit some bias in favor of the big ape, but like I said he's bested Godzilla. Fire breathing gigantic lizard>mysterious evil creature thing.

Holy crap this is the first round where I've seen both of the movies. I didn't like Cloverfield however I hated hated hated Peter Jackson's King Kong. I'm picking Cloverfield not just because the movie is better but also because I think it would win. When you're hating a movie 80 minutes is so much more tolerable then a little over 3 hours.

I have only seen the 33 King Kong and King Kong vs. Godzilla. I don't think I need to see the 2005 remake or the 76 one to know what Kong is fully capable of.

Pretty sure 76 is my favorite. This is a 'crazy' Sven opinion that I agree with.
