Some good additions but the general thrust of this thread so far leads me to believe that many of you do not know what I mean by club scene so I will clarify. Best contemporary dance club scene.

First thing that sprung to mind was Collateral.
A brilliantly edited mixture of image and sound. Really well done. A great scene from a great movie.

I'm still not sure if you mean "best scene that just happen to take place in a dance club" or "best depiction of a dance club atmosphere." I think a lot of people are posting the former. I posted the latter.

Hmm... now, it gets on my nerve, as I can remember this scene, not so sure it's Trouble every Day or Clubbed to death, sure it was Beatrice Dalle though

Babel and Black Swan were the first things that came to mind. So I'll say Beau Travail. I've never been in a dance club, contemporary or not, but I assume Denis Lavant's flailing exemplifies the best things about any of them.

Not the best by any means, but I actually really enjoyed the one in "The Social Network", with the rapid-fire dialogue set to pounding music and pulsating primary colours.
